Wax Ring Making Workshop | September 23rd @ 1.30pmRegular price £85.00
Wax Ring Making Workshop.
Workshop tickets are excluded from any online discounts.
Learn how to design and create your very own bespoke ring through the ancient lost method of wax casting. In the workshop you will be taught a range of techniques and processes demonstrated by the Women of FLUX, Alice Ashton and Mollie Paling.
In the 2.5 workshop you will carve and sculpt your own ring using a variety of tools to explore and experiment with mark making, forming shape or surface texture. Don’t worry, everyone will start with a test ring allowing time to familiarise yourself with the material and methods of making. Once comfortable you will start to create your own ring individually inspired by your own ideas and personal taste.
The ring can really be as dramatic or simple as you desire.
By the end of your session you’ll have a finished wax ring ready for casting.
After the class the rings are then sent and cast in either 100% recycled silver or theres always an option to cast in recycled gold or reused gold (just please let us know before the class) Then polished up in our workshop and returned within 3 weeks either by collection or post to your door. All levels and abilities welcome.
